There are a lot of games to play this weekend for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch. Here's what's new that you can play now.
Free-to-Own
You can claim to own Super Meat Boy Forever on the Epic Games Store this week. Notably, it was previously indicated that you could claim a few classic Fallout games but it seems Epic is delaying that offer to another date.
Free Weekend
For PC players, you can play Sid Meier's Civilization VI and Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition for free this weekend. If you have Xbox Game Pass Core or Ultimate, console players can play Ghost Recon Breakpoint, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Catan. Finally, Nintendo Switch Online members can play FC 24 this weekend.
Amazon Prime Gaming
Blade Assault has recently been added to Amazon Prime Gaming. This is also your last chance to claim to own Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery VR and Yars: Recharged before the offers are gone for good. This is also your last week to play the free games offered for this month to play on Luna.
Xbox and PC Game Pass
Recently added to Game Pass, you can now play Return to Grace, Tales of Arise, Bluey the Video Game, and Dead Island 2. Unfortunately, Dead Island 2 is only available for consoles and, if you have Game Pass Ultimate, cloud streaming. The PC version of the game is currently in exclusivity with the Epic Games Store. It can be assumed that once that exclusivity expires that Dead Island 2 may be available for PC Game Pass assuming that the game is still available on the service at that time. This is also your last week to play Soul Hackers 2 which will be leaving Game Pass by the end of the month, as well as Madden NFL 22 which will be leaving EA Play at the same time.
PlayStation Plus
There are a lot of games recently added to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. Here's everything new.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla
LEGO Jurassic World
LEGO Worlds
Need for Speed Unbound
The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition
Roguebook
Rogue Lords
Tales of Arise
Tales of Zestiria
In addition, PlayStation Plus Premium members can also play the PSP game Resistance: Retribution and the PS4 remastered games Tales of Symphonia Remastered and Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition.
Nintendo Switch Online
With Nintendo's latest Partner Showcase, a lot of classic games are now available for Nintendo Switch Online. You can now play the following games.
Snake Rattle N Roll (NES)
R.C. Pro-Am (NES)
Battletoads in Battlemaniacs (SNES)
Killer Instinct (SNES)
Additionally, Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members can also play the Nintendo 64 game Blast Corps. In Japan, NSO + EP members can play Mother 3. It should be noted that you can play Japan-exclusive NSO games by just creating a Nintendo account with the region set to Japan, downloading the Japanese NSO apps from the eShop, and then loading the app installed on your Switch with your regular NSO account. The only issue is that Mother 3 and many of the other games are not localized and will not have English or other language options. This may not be an issue for some games that are primarily about action, but may be an issue for games like Mother 3. Let's hope Nintendo finally adds Mother 3 to NSO for other regions in at some point.
