Try Fallout 76 for 1 week (or keep forever), new Game Pass and Switch Online games, and more!

Fallout fans are being treated well right now. In addition to the new TV series, Amazon and Bethesda have made current and classic Fallout games available to more gamers this week. If you're not a Fallout fan, there's still plenty of games to play this weekend. Here's the breakdown of what you can play now.

Free to own (including Amazon Prime Gaming)

  • Ghostrunner is free to own on the Epic Games Store

  • Fallout 76 is free to own for both PC and Xbox with Prime Gaming

  • Demon's Tilt is free to own with Prime Gaming

  • Drawn: Trail of Shadows is free to own with Prime Gaming

  • Faraway 3: Arctic Escape is free to own on Prime Gaming

Free Weekend

  • Fallout 76 is free to play for a week on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation (in case you can't just claim to keep it for free with Amazon Prime)

  • PGA Tour 2K23 is free to play this weekend on Steam and Xbox for Game Pass Core and Ultimate members

  • Classified France '44 is free to play this weekend for Xbox Game Pass Core and Ultimate members

More Fallout games to play with Amazon Prime

Not included in this week's video (because I didn't realize it until I uploaded the video), Amazon Prime Gaming members can play Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. These aren't games that you can claim to own like Fallout 76. Instead, you will only be able to play these games through Amazon's cloud streaming service Luna. If you don't have time to play these games now because you're too busy binging other Fallout content, don't worry. Unlike other exclusive monthly Luna games for Prime members, these offers seem to be available until October 10th.

Xbox Game Pass

Kona, Botany Manor, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition have recently been added to Game Pass. This weekend is also your last chance to play Amnesia Collection, Amnesia: Rebirth, Back 4 Blood, Phantom Abyss, Research and Destroy, and Soma.

Nintendo Switch Online

The SNES games Super R-Type, Amazing Hebereke, and Wrecking Crew '98 have just been added to Nintendo Switch Online. The latter two games were previously only released in Japan for the Super Famicom. Speaking of which, Nintendo Switch Online for Japan gets the exclusive release of Marvelous: Mōhitotsu no Takarajima as well as Battletoads in Battlemaniacs but that game has already been available for Nintendo Switch Online outside of Japan. These additional two games were not mentioned in the video as I am just finding out about them as of typing this post.

PlayStation Plus

Unfortunately, you'll have to wait until next week for a breakdown of new games being added to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. However, if you're in a speedrunning mood, there are 11 games leaving the service after this weekend. You can find more details about the games from TrueTrophies.
